Elopements bring us back to what truly matters: the two of you, committing your lives to each other. It strips away all of the “stuff,” the “fluff” the performance and production. An elopement is an intentionally small, intimate, meaningful, authentic wedding day that’s a true reflection of your relationship—where the focus of the day is really about YOU TWO.
It can look like just the two of you climbing a mountain and saying your vows at the top; inviting your immediate family to witness your vows at Moraine Lake; or bringing your 30 closest peoples to take the gondola up the top of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort with you to celebrate your love.
The best thing about eloping is that there are no rules and you can create an intentionally intimate wedding day that truly reflects who you are. Your elopement is the day you are married; it is still a wedding and should not be treated like an all-day photo shoot – we all know the best moments are the ones in between, the laughs, stollen kisses and windswept emotions, and thats what I am here for!

ADVENTURE ELOPEMENT // COSTA RICA
Melissa followed my fiancé and I all the way to Costa Rica! Not only is she a super sweet, fun-loving professional but she is an AMAZINGLY talented photographer! She captured EXACTLY what I had envisioned for our engagement session. We had sneak peaks of our images SO QUICKLY and our entire album was sent to us in a super timely manner. I had my surprise engagement shoot at Emerald Lake in B.C.. HUGE shout out to Melissa at Cedar Lane Adventure Elopements + Weddings for making this day possible and all the hard work you put into planning this with me! Although I currently just have my sneak peek photos, they’re absolutely stunning! I am beyond excited for the rest of our photos to come in! Melissa may come back a little higher cost wise than other photographers in the area, but I’m telling you, she’s worth every penny!
